The Roads and Transport Authority in Dubai has announced revised public parking and transport timings for the holy month of Ramadan.
The new schedule helps residents manage travel and parking while observing fasting and prayer routines.
Ramadan Parking Fee Timings
Public parking fees will apply from Monday to Saturday during two periods:
- 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM
- 8:00 PM to 12:00 Midnight
This adjustment gives residents two hours of free parking at sunset, allowing worshippers to pray and break their fast without parking charges.
However, multi-story parking facilities will operate 24 hours a day, as usual.
Earlier, Dubai’s toll operator Salik also confirmed revised toll gate timings for Ramadan.
Dubai Metro Ramadan Timings
According to RTA, Dubai Metro services will run as follows:
Red Line & Green Line
- Monday to Thursday: 5:00 AM – 12:00 Midnight
- Friday: 5:00 AM – 1:00 AM (next day)
- Saturday: 5:00 AM – 12:00 Midnight
- Sunday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 Midnight
Dubai Tram Ramadan Timings
The Dubai Tram schedule will be:

Bus and Marine Transport Updates
Commuters using public buses should check updated schedules via the S’hail app. Meanwhile, marine transport users can visit the RTA website for revised timings.
Service centers, customer happiness centers, and vehicle testing facilities will also operate under Ramadan timings.
Ramadan Crescent Moon Sighting
The moon sighting committee in the United Arab Emirates will meet on February 17 to confirm the start of Ramadan. Residents can follow updates through reports published by Khaleej Times.
Authorities in Saudi Arabia will also observe the crescent on the same day and have encouraged citizens to report any confirmed sightings.
