The government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has terminated 12 employees of the Department of Auqaf Khyber Pakhtunkhwa over repeated violations of the smart attendance system.
A departmental notification confirmed that the employees failed to record their attendance through the digital system on multiple occasions, despite repeated warnings. As a result, their employment was terminated with immediate effect, following directives from the provincial administration.
The notification further emphasized that stricter administrative actions will be taken against any staff members who do not comply with official instructions. Employees have been urged to follow government orders promptly and maintain adherence to attendance protocols.
This action comes after the KP government, last year, issued instructions to review and terminate employees hired during the caretaker government period. Departments were specifically asked to end the service of staff recruited between January 22, 2023, and February 29, 2024, as part of broader administrative reforms.
Officials stated that the dismissals aim to reinforce accountability and ensure compliance with digital attendance systems across government departments in the province.
