The Government of Punjab has approved recruitment for 171 vacant posts of Junior Computer Operator (Grade 12) in the Punjab Prisons Department to strengthen IT services in the department.
Sources said the approval came after the Punjab Home Department submitted a summary to the provincial government.
The recruitment will be carried out through the Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC), which will soon issue an official advertisement for the positions.
Officials said candidates will be selected through a written test and other recruitment stages. Applicants will submit their applications online through the PPSC website.
Authorities added that the recruitment process will remain transparent and strictly based on merit, aiming to improve digital and IT services within the prisons department.
