Pakistan car sales (as reported by PAMA) clocked in at 17,121 units in Feb 2026 a 42% YoY but down 26% MoM. This took 8MFY26 cumulative sales to 128,498 units, up 43% YoY from 89,770 units in 8MFY25.
The sharp MoM decline is primarily attributed to a high base effect, as January sales typically surge due to new-year vehicle registrations, coupled with fewer working days in February. Meanwhile, the strong YoY growth was supported by new market entrants, lower interest rates, easing inflation, and improving macroeconomic sentiment.
Sazgar Engineering (SAZEW) reported sales of 1,682 units in Feb 2026 up 90% YoY but down 16% MoM. Indus Motor Company (INDU) posted a 46% YoY growth, while declined by 25% MoM to 3,817 units.
Corolla, Yaris, and Cross sales collectively increased 70% YoY but fell 24% MoM to 3,102 units. Meanwhile, Fortuner and IMV sales declined 10% YoY and 27% MoM to 715 units. Honda Atlas Cars (HCAR) recorded a 3% YoY increase but declined 42% MoM to 2,114 units in Feb 2026.
City & Civic sales fell 1% YoY and 45% MoM to 1,861 units, while BR-V & HR-V sales increased 42% YoY and down 1% MoM, reaching 253 units. Hyundai Nishat Motors was the only company to record a YoY decline while maintaining a non-negative MoM trend, with sales of 1,021 units, down 3% YoY and flattish MoM.
Pak Suzuki Motors (PSMC) posted a 53% YoY increase but declined 25% MoM to 8,160 units. 2 and 3-wheeler sales increased 24% YoY but down 12% MoM to 159,512 units in Feb 2026. This took cumulative 8MFY26 sales to 1.3mn units, up 31% YoY.
Atlas Honda (ATLH), the maker of the popular CD70 bike, recorded sales of 136k a 26% YoY rise while down 13% MoM. Tractor sales posted a growth of 12% YoY but down 31% MoM to 1,717 units in Feb 2026. Truck and bus sales surged 37% YoY while down 40% MoM to 664 units in Jan 2026.
