The Government of Sindh has declared Friday, March 13, 2026, a public holiday across the province.
According to a notification issued by the Services, General Administration and Coordination Department (SGA&CD), the holiday will be observed by all government offices, autonomous bodies, semi-autonomous bodies, corporations and local councils functioning under the administrative control of the Government of Sindh.
The notification states that essential services will remain operational despite the holiday. The decision was announced through a notification issued in Karachi on March 12, 2026.
The notification was issued with the approval of the competent authority and signed by Chief Secretary Sindh Asif Hyder Shah.
