The Islamabad Traffic Police have issued a traffic advisory for Friday, March 13, informing citizens about multiple road closures in different parts of the federal capital.
According to the advisory, access to the Red Zone will remain open only through Margalla Road, while all other entry routes will remain closed. All routes leading to and from Iran Avenue will remain closed.
The Chand Tara Flyover from Srinagar Highway to Serena Chowk will also remain closed. Roads from the Racep Tayyip Erdogan Flyover towards Jinnah Avenue, Kulsum Plaza Chowk, the Seventh Avenue Bridge and Fazl-e-Haq Road up to GEO Chowk will remain closed.
The road from Haji Camp Chowk to Islamabad Chowk will also remain closed. IJP Road from Gandam Godam to Faqir Aipee Road will remain closed, while the service road from NESCOM towards I-10 will also remain shut.
Traffic movement from I-8 towards IJP Double Road will remain closed from both sides. Club Road from Rawal Dam Chowk to Kashmir Chowk will remain closed on one side. On Park Road, the section from Shehzad Town to Musharraf Chowk will remain closed on one side.
The traffic police have advised citizens to use alternate routes, avoid unnecessary travel and leave earlier than usual to avoid delays.
