Punjab Govt Orders Salary Deductions for Officers, Ministers

The Punjab Finance Department has issued a notification announcing salary deductions for government officials and elected representatives in the province.

According to the notification, officers in Grade 17 and above will face a deduction equivalent to two days’ salary. The collected amount will be deposited into the **Federal Government of Pakistan Emergency Fund.

The notification further states that Maryam Nawaz, along with all provincial ministers, special assistants, advisers, and parliamentary secretaries, will have two months’ salaries deducted.

In addition, members of the Punjab Assembly will face a 25% salary deduction for two months.

Officials said the measure aims to contribute funds to the federal emergency fund during the current financial situation.
