The Board of Secondary Education Karachi has announced that Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examinations in Karachi have been rescheduled and will now begin on April 10.
The board had earlier scheduled the annual SSC exams from April 7 to May 2 across the Karachi Division. In a statement issued on Sunday, the board’s controller of examinations said the delay was caused by the ongoing transition from a manual system to a digital platform.
The statement added that the software application became overloaded, leading to a temporary disruption, while the IT team is working to resolve the issue.
The board said the exams have been postponed to ensure they are conducted in an organized and transparent manner.
It added that a revised examination schedule will be issued shortly, while students will appear for exams at the centres already assigned to them.
