Xiaomi HyperOS 4 Leak Points to UI Redesign and Leica Integration

Xiaomi is continuing development of its next software platform, HyperOS 4, as Android 17 enters its beta phase.

While earlier reports pointed to a major shift in the system’s architecture, new leaks are now highlighting changes to the user interface and overall design.

UI Redesign in Progress

According to tipster Smart Pikachu on Weibo, Xiaomi is reworking the core system interface for HyperOS 4.

Details remain limited, but the leak claims that the UI has undergone “significant changes,” suggesting a move toward a more modern and cohesive design.

Leica Color Palette Integration

The report also indicates that Xiaomi is developing a dedicated Leica-inspired color palette for the operating system.

So far, Xiaomi’s partnership with Leica has focused on the camera experience, particularly in color science and filters. Expanding this approach to the system interface could introduce a more consistent visual identity across the software.

Focus on System-Level Refinement

Xiaomi had earlier confirmed plans to achieve what it described as “grand convergence” in 2026, combining a self-developed chip, operating system, and large AI models on a single device.

If these plans move forward, HyperOS 4 may focus more on refinement and system integration rather than introducing entirely new features.

A redesigned interface and unified visual language could improve consistency across Xiaomi, Redmi, and Poco devices.

Early Stage Development

Xiaomi has not officially confirmed any of these details.

As development is still in its early stages, features mentioned in leaks may change before the final release.
