Karachi Board Confirms Start Date for Intermediate Exams

The Board of Intermediate Education Karachi has scheduled the first phase of its 2026 annual intermediate examinations to start from April 29.

According to the board, admit cards for private candidates appearing in Intermediate Part I, Part II and combined Part I and II have been dispatched to their registered addresses. These include candidates from Pre-Medical, Pre-Engineering, Science General, Arts (Regular), Home Economics and Arts Private groups.

The board instructed candidates who do not receive their admit cards by April 25 to collect duplicate copies from the relevant section at the board office from April 27.

Officials said applicants seeking duplicate admit cards must provide their examination form and fee receipt, registration card or proof of registration, along with a copy of their matriculation marks sheet.

Earlier, the Board of Secondary Education Karachi revised the schedule for Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examinations, which have already started from April 10.

The board had initially planned to conduct SSC exams from April 7 to May 2 across Karachi Division. However, it later changed the dates due to issues faced during the transition from a manual to a digital system.

According to the board, the system experienced temporary disruption after the software became overloaded, after which the issue was resolved by the IT team and the revised schedule was implemented.
