The Sindh government has launched two new routes of the Peoples Bus Service in Khairpur as part of efforts to expand public transport facilities in the province.
Senior Sindh Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon inaugurated the new routes during a ceremony in Khairpur. The routes will operate between Khairpur Mir’s and Rohri, and between Khairpur Mir’s and Ranipur.
Speaking at the event, Sharjeel Memon said the buses will provide affordable air conditioned travel facilities to residents, while the Sindh government is continuing to subsidize fares for passengers using the service.
He also announced that Pink Bus Service, Pink Scooties, and double decker buses will also be introduced in Khairpur in the future.
During his address, the minister highlighted various welfare initiatives launched by the Sindh government, including labor cards for workers and Hari cards for farmers. Sharjeel Memon also praised Pakistan’s armed forces and said the country had responded strongly against India during recent tensions between the two countries.
