Punjab authorities have started taking action against private schools violating the province’s summer vacation schedule, with several institutions sealed during a crackdown in Changa Manga.
According to reports, teams acting on the directions of the Deputy Commissioner Kasur raided schools that remained open despite the Punjab government’s summer holiday orders.
Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat had earlier announced that summer vacations for schools across the province would begin on May 22 and continue until August 23 due to rising temperatures and heatwave conditions.
During the operation in Changa Manga, authorities sealed Leeds School, Sindhu Model School, Quaid-e-Azam Public School and Hazara Public School for remaining operational during the holidays.
The district administration warned that strict action would continue against educational institutions ignoring government directives regarding summer vacations.
