Google may be preparing one of its biggest Pixel design changes yet with the upcoming Pixel 11 Pro, according to recent reports. The unreleased phone appeared briefly during Google’s recent I/O keynote, where viewers spotted what looked like a Pixel device with a glowing camera bar.
The teaser went largely unnoticed at first, but it has since raised speculation that Google is working on a new design language for its next flagship phone, similar to Nothing phones with their iconic glyph LED lights on the back.
Pixel Glow Feature
The brief I/O clip showed a Pixel-style phone with a lit outline around the camera bar. Reports suggest this could be linked to a rumored feature called Pixel Glow.
It could work as an LED-based notification system, with customizable colors for contacts, alerts, and other phone activity.
However, the feature has not been officially confirmed. Android Central noted that the I/O scene appeared during an AI demonstration, which makes it unclear whether the glowing camera bar was showing real hardware or an AI-generated visual effect.

Expected Specifications
The Pixel 11 Pro is expected to measure 162.7 x 76.5 x 8.5mm, making it slightly slimmer than its predecessor. The phone is also expected to keep a 6.8-inch LTPO AMOLED screen.
Early CAD renders suggest the phone may have thinner bezels than the previous model. The triple camera setup is also expected to sit inside an all-black camera bar, replacing the two-tone camera bar design used on the Pixel 10 Pro XL.
The Pixel 11 Pro is expected to feature a 6.8-inch LTPO AMOLED display, a 7-core Tensor G6 processor, a MediaTek M90 modem, and 256GB of base storage.
The phone is also expected to offer 12GB or 16GB of RAM, a 5,500 mAh battery, and a starting price of around $1,200.
Launch Timeline
Google is expected to launch the Pixel 11 Pro in the second half of 2026. More details should become clearer closer to the official launch, especially around the rumored Pixel Glow feature and whether the glowing camera bar will become part of the final hardware design.
