Russian President Vladimir Putin has dismissed the suggestion that Pakistan is entirely under China’s influence, emphasizing that the country maintains diverse international relationships.
During an interaction with an Indian journalist, Putin described Pakistan as a “large country” with “multi-faceted ties” across different regions and rejected the characterization of it being solely aligned with Beijing.
His remarks show the complexity of regional geopolitics and suggest that Pakistan’s foreign policy cannot be reduced to a single strategic alignment.
The comments were seen as an acknowledgment of Pakistan’s powerful diplomatic engagement with multiple global powers, rather than exclusive dependence on one partner.
