Another Major Chinese Phone Maker is About to Raise Prices

Following the price hike by major smartphone makers, namely Xiaomi, Oppo, and OnePlus, another major smartphone maker is about to raise prices.

Huawei has issued a price adjustment notice to its partner network in China, confirming that it will raise prices from July 1, 2026, according to Chinese media reports.

The notice says Huawei is facing rising cost pressure due to changes in supply and demand across the global chip industry and growing demand for chips driven by artificial intelligence technologies.

Reason For Price Hike

According to the reported notice, Huawei said prices of key components have risen quickly since the second half of 2025.

The company said it will make appropriate price adjustments from July 1 to deal with higher raw material and component procurement costs.

Products Affected

Chinese reports specifically mention Huawei’s smart collaboration product lineup. Some reports have also linked the move to broader pressure across consumer electronics, including phones, tablets, wearables, and other devices.

Huawei has not yet confirmed the exact price increase for individual products.

AI Demand Behind Cost Pressure

The price hike comes as the wider technology industry faces rising memory and storage costs.

IDC said memory makers have shifted more production toward AI data center components, including high-bandwidth memory and high-capacity DDR5. This has restricted supply for general-purpose memory used in smartphones, PCs, and other consumer electronics.
