Pakistan Set to Receive 50,000 Tons of Fertilizer Imports From Morocco

Fauji Fertilizer Company (FFC) has dispatched a vessel from Morocco carrying 50,000 tons of fertilizer that is scheduled to arrive in Pakistan on July 10, JS Global shared with ProPakistani.

The shipment includes 10,000 tons of diammonium phosphate (DAP) for FFC, 10,000 tons of triple superphosphate (TSP), 20,000 tons of nitrophosphate sulphur (NPS), along with 5,000 tons of DAP each for Engro Fertilizers and Fatima Fertilizer.

Pakistan relies heavily on imports to meet demand for phosphatic fertilizers, particularly DAP, as domestic production capacity remains limited. Morocco is one of the world’s largest exporters of phosphate-based fertilizers and has been an important supplier to Pakistan in recent years.

The arrival of the cargo ahead of the upcoming Kharif sowing season is expected to support fertilizer availability and help stabilize supplies for farmers amid strong seasonal demand.
