The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has announced that it is undertaking an essential network upgrade to improve the stability, security, reliability, and overall performance of its network infrastructure and digital services.
According to an official statement issued by the authority, the planned maintenance activity will commence at 5:00 PM on June 24, 2026, and continue until 6:00 AM on June 25, 2026.
PTA said that during the maintenance window, the online mobile device registration system, known as DIRBS, may experience intermittent disruptions or temporary unavailability due to the ongoing technical work.
The authority stated that its technical teams will closely monitor the upgrade process throughout the maintenance period to ensure minimal inconvenience to users and restore affected services as quickly as possible.
PTA described the network enhancement as a necessary step to strengthen its digital infrastructure and sought the cooperation of stakeholders and users during the scheduled maintenance activity.
