OnePlus N6 Launches With 8,000mAh Battery That Can Stay Healthy for Seven Years

OnePlus has introduced the N6 as the first model in a new smartphone series.

The phone features an 8,000mAh battery, a 120Hz display, MediaTek’s Dimensity 6360 Max chipset, and a 50MP rear camera.

Design and Display

The OnePlus N6 features a 6.8-inch IPS LCD with HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.

The display reaches a peak local brightness of 1,200 nits and includes a punch-hole cutout for the front camera.

The phone is available in Fresh Mint and Midnight Green.

Internals and Software

The OnePlus N6 is powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 6360 Max chipset.

It comes with either 4GB or 6GB of RAM, while both versions include 128GB of internal storage.

A microSD card slot allows users to expand the available storage.

The phone runs OxygenOS 16.0 based on Android 16.

OnePlus has promised two major Android upgrades and three years of security updates.

Cameras

The OnePlus N6 has a 50MP main camera on the back with an f/1.8 aperture.

An 8MP camera sits inside the punch-hole cutout on the front.

Battery and Pricing

The phone has an 8,000mAh battery with support for 45W SuperVOOC wired charging. It also supports 5W reverse wired charging, allowing users to charge another device with the N6.

Bypass charging lets the phone draw power directly from the charger to the motherboard without routing it through the battery. OnePlus says the battery can withstand more than 1,600 charging cycles and retain over 80 percent of its original health after seven years.

The OnePlus N6 with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage costs around $243. The version with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage is priced at $264.

Open sales will begin on July 4 through the official OnePlus store and Amazon.
