Passport Offices Across Pakistan Are Now Cashless

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has announced that cashless transactions are now operational at all passport offices across Pakistan.

In a post on X on Wednesday, Naqvi said, “Alhamdulillah, starting today, cashless transactions are operational at all Passport Offices across Pakistan.”

According to the interior minister, the new system will make passport services faster and more convenient for citizens. He said applicants will no longer have to stand in long queues or wait for hours to make payments.

Naqvi added that the reform was introduced on the directions of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

He said the initiative is another step toward improving public service delivery by making the process faster, more transparent, and more convenient for citizens.

The minister also appreciated the Directorate General of Immigration and Passports team for implementing the reform and said the government will continue working on further improvements in public services.
