Customs Seizes 13 Vehicles, More Items Worth Rs. 200 Million

The Collectorate of Customs Enforcement Islamabad has intensified its anti-smuggling campaign, seizing 13 smuggled vehicles and a large quantity of foreign-origin goods worth more than Rs. 200 million in a series of intelligence-based operations launched since June 15, 2026.

According to a press release, the enforcement drive resulted in the seizure of several vehicles, including Toyota Crown, Toyota Land Cruiser, Toyota Prius, Toyota Passo, Suzuki Alto, and heavy motorcycles. Customs said the combined estimated value of the confiscated vehicles and other smuggled goods exceeds Rs. 200 million.

As part of the operation, Customs teams also raided multiple retail stores and commercial outlets allegedly involved in the sale and distribution of non-duty-paid imported goods.

During the raids, officials seized a large quantity of foreign-origin perfumes, cosmetics, edible items, cloth and other products that were allegedly imported without payment of applicable duties and taxes or in violation of the Import Policy Order.

The market value of the goods recovered from the retail outlets has been estimated at approximately Rs. 15 million. Customs said the seized items have been taken into custody and legal proceedings have been initiated in accordance with the law.

The Collectorate of Customs Enforcement Islamabad said it will continue intelligence-led anti-smuggling operations in coordination with other law enforcement agencies as part of its efforts to curb smuggling and protect the national economy.
