The Swat District Administration, in collaboration with the Swat Development Authority, has sealed several illegal ziplines operating at tourist destinations after finding they were running without the required no objection certificates (NoCs).
The action targeted ziplines installed in Mahodand, Saifullah Lake, Chashma Shafa Aabshar, and other tourist areas during a joint inspection.
Officials said the inspection found that the zipline operators had failed to obtain the mandatory NoCs, prompting authorities to shut down the facilities on the spot.
The district administration directed operators not to resume zipline services until they complete all legal requirements and meet the prescribed safety and security standards.
Authorities said the crackdown is part of ongoing efforts to improve tourist safety and ensure that adventure activities across the district comply with legal and security regulations.
