Standard Chartered Bank (Pakistan) Limited has appointed Adil Salahuddin as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Director, replacing Rehan Shaikh, according to a notification submitted to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on Monday.
The appointment has been approved by the bank’s Board of Directors and will take effect after the required regulatory approvals and clearances are obtained. Until then, Rehan Shaikh will continue serving as CEO.
Salahuddin brings more than three decades of banking experience, including 25 years with Standard Chartered Group. During his career, he has held senior leadership positions across Markets, Coverage, and Transaction Banking in multiple countries.
Although his primary focus has been Pakistan, Salahuddin has also worked in the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia, giving him extensive exposure to Middle Eastern and African banking markets.
The leadership change was disclosed by Standard Chartered Bank (Pakistan) Limited in a filing to the PSX on Monday.
