Customs Seizes 10 Smuggled Cars, Other Goods Worth Rs. 11 Crore

The Collectorate of Customs Enforcement Islamabad has seized 10 smuggled vehicles and a large quantity of contraband goods worth more than Rs. 113.5 million during a series of intelligence-based anti-smuggling operations carried out since July 10, 2026.

According to Customs, the crackdown targeted organized smuggling networks and resulted in the seizure of several high-value vehicles, including Toyota Camry, Toyota Land Cruiser, Toyota Prado, Toyota Prius, Toyota Wish, Suzuki Alto, Toyota Passo, and a Volkswagen.

Enforcement teams also confiscated significant quantities of foreign-brand cigarettes, tyres, cloth, dry figs, and other smuggled goods, dealing a major financial blow to illegal trade operators.

Customs said the operations were conducted under the supervision of senior officials as part of an intensified campaign against cross-border smuggling.

The department reiterated its commitment to continuing intelligence-led enforcement operations in coordination with other federal and provincial law enforcement agencies to curb smuggling, protect local industries, safeguard government revenue, and strengthen the national economy.
