Islamabad High Court Stops FIA From Announcing Recruitment Test Results

The Islamabad High Court has stopped the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) from announcing the results of its recent recruitment tests until further orders.

Justice Azam Khan issued the order while hearing a petition filed by Yasir Arafat. The court also issued notices to the FIA and other concerned parties and asked them to respond to the case.

The petition claims that the recruitment test included out-of-syllabus questions, making the examination unfair. The petitioner’s lawyer also told the court that a complaint had already been submitted to the FIA before the matter was brought to court.

The FIA started recruitment tests for Executive posts on July 9, 2026, while tests for Ministerial posts began on July 13, 2026. The hiring process was launched after the agency announced 1,394 vacancies across Pakistan in April 2026.

After the hearing, the court directed the FIA not to announce the recruitment test results until a final decision is made in the case. The matter will now be heard again after the FIA submits its reply.
