International Packaging Films Limited (PSX: IPAK) has approved a Rs. 1.4 billion investment to expand its production of premium packaging films as part of its strategy to grow higher-value products.
In a notification to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on Wednesday, the company said its wholly owned subsidiary, Global Packaging Films (Private) Limited (GPAK), has approved the acquisition of a state-of-the-art metallizer with an estimated project cost of around Rs. 1.4 billion.
The new investment is aimed at increasing the group’s share of value-added packaging products while strengthening its manufacturing capabilities.
According to the company, the project will expand production capacity for premium metallized packaging films, improve operational efficiency, and support rising demand from both domestic and export customers.
The investment forms part of International Packaging Films’ long-term growth strategy to enhance its value-added product portfolio and strengthen its position in the packaging industry.
