The Collectorate of Customs Enforcement Islamabad has seized smuggled vehicles and contraband worth more than Rs. 525.5 million during a series of intelligence-led anti-smuggling operations conducted since July 18, 2026.
According to an official statement, Customs Enforcement teams intercepted three high-value smuggled vehicles, including a 2015 Range Rover, a 2008 Toyota Land Cruiser, and a 2005 Honda Accord, as part of the ongoing crackdown.
The operations also resulted in the seizure of 121,250 sleeves of foreign-origin cigarettes, along with cosmetics, miscellaneous smuggled goods, and 11 offending vehicles used in smuggling activities.
Customs officials said the combined value of the seized vehicles and contraband exceeds Rs525.5 million, describing the operation as a major blow to smuggling networks operating in the region.
The Collectorate said the operations were carried out under the supervision of senior Customs Enforcement officials and reaffirmed its zero-tolerance policy against smuggling.
It added that intelligence-based enforcement operations will continue in coordination with federal and provincial law enforcement agencies to protect the national economy, support local industries, and curb the illegal trade of smuggled goods.
