The Sindh government has ordered immediate steps to repair damaged roads and fix sewerage problems in Gulistan-e-Jauhar, Karachi.
Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah directed Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab to visit the area and review the condition of main roads, internal streets and drainage lines.
The mayor has also been asked to submit a report on road repairs, blocked sewerage lines and ongoing development work in the area.
The chief minister said delays and poor maintenance would not be accepted. He also told the concerned departments to complete the work quickly without causing further problems for residents and commuters.
The provincial government has directed civic agencies to work together and speed up road, drainage and sanitation projects across Karachi.
