The Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) has announced a local holiday on June 8 in observance of the annual Urs of Hazrat Abdullah Shah Ghazi.
According to a notification issued by the KMC Human Resources Management Department, the holiday will be observed on 22 Zil Hajj 1446 AH, corresponding to Monday, June 8, in accordance with a resolution previously passed by the City Council Karachi.
The notification stated that all offices operating under the jurisdiction of the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation will remain closed on the occasion, except those providing essential services.
The decision was approved by the competent authority and communicated to all relevant KMC departments for implementation.
