IESCO Announces Power Outages in Islamabad, Rawalpindi

The Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) has announced scheduled power outages in parts of Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Attock, Jhelum, Chakwal, and nearby areas on Sunday due to routine maintenance and development work.

According to an IESCO spokesperson, electricity will remain suspended in parts of Islamabad, including Khanna Dak, Burma, Ghori Garden, UC-2, Waheed Abad, and Rehman Enclave, from 5:00 am to 11:00 am.

In Rawalpindi, power outages will affect Al-Noor Colony and Qadeer Road from 5:00 am to 11:00 am, while Chairing Cross, Millatabad, and Askari-XI will remain without electricity from 6:30 am to 2:00 pm.

In Attock, power supply will remain suspended in Bahtar More, P Small Industrial, Kohistan Enclave, Kashif Gull, Model Town, and Mix Industry from 5:00 am to 11:00 am.

In Jhelum, electricity will remain unavailable in F-7 (Kutchery), Ajmal Shaheed, Karim Pura, Bilal Town, Abbas Pura, Borian, F-2 (Chip Board), Industrial, and F-10 (Kala Base) from 6:00 am to 10:00 am. In Chakwal, the Mureed feeder will remain without power from 6:00 am to 3:00 pm.

Meanwhile, maintenance work in the GSO Circle will also cause outages in several areas, including RA Bazar, AWT, Mall Road, AFIC, Tench Bhatta, Qasim Market, CMH, Sprint Mall, Kiyani Road, Army Flats, Haider Road, NLC, Canning Road, Hospital Road, NIASR, and New GHQ, along with areas connected to the affected 132kV transmission lines and circuit breakers.

IESCO said electricity supply will be restored before the scheduled time if maintenance work is completed early. The company also apologized to consumers for the temporary inconvenience.
