The City Traffic Police Lahore has introduced the Rasta mobile app to help residents get timely traffic updates and travel guidance.
The app has been designed to provide commuters with traffic updates, alternative routes, travel advisories, and urgent information during emergencies.
According to the traffic police, the service can help citizens avoid traffic congestion, save time and fuel, and plan safer journeys across the city.
The Rasta app also offers several other services, including news and events, feedback, emergency calls, license services, and e-ticketing.
Traffic police said choosing the wrong route often leads to unnecessary delays, fuel wastage, stress, and inconvenience for citizens. The department said the app promotes the idea of better travel and an easier daily commute.
Residents have been advised to download the app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store to receive timely traffic guidance.
In case of an emergency or immediate assistance, citizens can also contact helpline 15, Lahore Traffic Police added.
