PESHAWAR: Ten violators have been arrested during an anti-encroachment operation in the Tehkal Payan area.
AC Zainab Naqvi, acting on the instructions of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shah Fahad, led the operation against encroachers.
The district administration reported that more than 30 ramps and encroached sheds were removed using heavy machinery, and an illegal fruit market was also dismantled.
It was also shared that two truckloads of encroached items were seized during the operation.
During the operation, AC Zainab Naqvi cautioned shopkeepers against encroachment and emphasized the importance of keeping the footpaths clear for pedestrians.
She warned that strict legal action would be taken if shopkeepers continued to place their items outside the shops.
