SWAT: The 35 Km long Kalam-Bahrain Road that was washed away at 19 places in recent rains and floods has been restored in just 7 days.
This road is currently open for small vehicles. The restoration of the road will facilitate the delivery of food, medicine, and other relief goods to Kalam and adjoining areas of Attur, Matalan, Paluga, Ariyan, Lykot, and Gabriel.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said in a tweet that the road from Bahrain to Kalam had been restored and opened for traffic as he had promised during his visit to Kalam.
He also appreciated the efforts of the NHA, FWO, and 11 Corps for restoring the road on a priority basis.
