Executive Director RUDA Terms Ravi Riverfront as Trade Powerhouse

LAHORE: The Ravi Urban Development Project, which aims to create a 46-kilometer-long riverfront city with a total area of 110,604 acres and a capacity to house 10 million residents, is set to be the largest riverfront city in the world.

This was revealed by the Executive Director of the Ravi Urban Development Authority (Ruda), Kashif Qureshi, during a presentation to the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI).

Qureshi informed the LCCI President that Ruda was established in July 2020 to develop a sustainable, green city with modern technologies to attract tourists and investors, while also preserving nature and enhancing urban housing.

The President of LCCI, Kashif Anwar, expressed hope that the Ravi Urban Development Project will play a crucial role in promoting business and economic activities.

He emphasized the importance of the construction sector for the growth of the economy and highlighted the many industries directly and indirectly connected to it, adding that investment opportunities will also be provided for LCCI members and staff.
