ICCI President Visits Gulberg Greens to Discuss Matters of Mutual Interest

ISLAMABAD: During a visit to IB Employees Cooperative Housing Society (Gulberg Green) in Islamabad, Ahsan Zafar Bakhtawari, President of the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) engaged in discussions with the society’s President, Tariq Mehmood.

According to sources, the purpose of the visit was to discuss potential collaboration opportunities between the two organizations.

Bakhtawari spoke about the current foreign exchange crisis in Pakistan and the need to boost exports to overcome the challenges faced by the economy.

He suggested that the society could provide space for an Expo Center that ICCI has been trying to establish for a long time, that would host regular exhibitions to increase industrial and commercial activities in the region.

The ICCI President also mentioned the desire to build a hospital for its members and sought a plot from the society for the purpose.

He also proposed a spring festival and tree plantation drive to promote a clean and green Islamabad.

Tariq Mehmood welcomed the suggestions and said he would consider them, expressing his willingness to collaborate with ICCI on projects of common interest.

Besides, several other officials and members of ICCI were also present at the meeting and discussed matters of mutual interest with the management.
