MULTAN: Secretary Housing Southern Punjab, Saleem Ahmad Khan, ordered the improvement of sewer staff security during his visit to the Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) disposal station.
The directive was aimed at providing cleaners with all the necessary equipment and emphasized the importance of workers’ lives and their safety.
He further urged the WASA authority to remain vigilant during the monsoon season to prevent the blockage of gutters and sewer lines by rainy water.
The Managing Director of WASA also updated the Secretary on the repair of the broken sewer line at Chungi No.8.
During his visit, the Secretary also went to Qasim Bagh Fort where he asked the Secretary of the Parks and Horticultural Authority to make good arrangements for the upcoming spring festival.
Khan stressed that the people of the city should be provided with the best recreational facilities, and all development schemes must be completed transparently.
He also highlighted that the provision of clean drinking water to citizens remains his top priority.
