ISLAMABAD: The National Highway Authority (NHA) Executive Board has sent the PC-1 for the construction of the Chakdara-Chitral Road project (N-45)’s Section III to the Central Development Working Party (CDWP)/Executive Committee of National Economic Council (ECNEC) for approval.
This latest development comes after the project’s estimated cost was reported to be PKR 10.95 billion.
The NHA Executive Board has also issued directives to immediately award the contract for the dualization and improvement of the 50-kilometer long N-50 from Yarik-Sagu-Zhob: Package -1 Yarik-Sagu to the National Logistics Cell (NLC) Engineers.
Furthermore, the board has urged the authority to follow up on the approval of the revised PC-1 for the 210-kilometer-long Zhob Bypass.
According to an official document, the executive board has also approved Addendum No. 1 and 2 of NESPAK for consultancy agreement to dualize and improve the Old Bannu Road Project, Gandhi Chowk Sarai Naurang, and Domail Khurram Sections.
This move by the NHA Executive Board is expected to accelerate the pace of development in the region, as these road projects are vital for the overall socio-economic uplift of the country.

The approval of the PC-1 for the Chakdara-Chitral Road project (N-45)’s Section III by the CDWP/ECNEC will pave the way for the commencement of construction work on this important road project.
