RAWALPINDI: The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) took action against three illegal housing schemes, demolishing site offices, main gates, and road infrastructure.
The RDA declared the following housing schemes illegal:
- Islamabad Marina City Mouza Garbal
- Pakistan Employees Cooperative Housing Society Mouza Mohri Khatran and Garbal
- Seven Enclave Housing Society at Mauza Garbal Fateh Jang Road Rawalpindi
As per the tweet shared on the RDA’s official Twitter account, an operation was carried out on the directive of Director General RDA, Saif Anwar Jappa.

According to an RDA spokesperson, the Enforcement Squad is taking strict action against illegal housing schemes and had previously issued notices to the owners of the aforementioned schemes.
The owners were found to be running illegal housing scheme booking offices, in violation of rules.
Additionally, the DG has warned the public not to invest in any unauthorized housing schemes, as their status has been declared illegal by RDA.
The public can check the status of housing schemes on the RDA website, www.rda.gop.pk.
The Metropolitan Planning and Traffic Engineering Directorate has been directed by the DG to take strict action against illegal/unauthorized housing schemes, including their development, construction of booking and site offices, and encroachments without any fear or favor.
Furthermore, RDA has requested Islamabad Electric Supply Company (Iesco), Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Ltd (SNGPL), and PTCL not to extend services to illegal housing schemes as their status is unapproved.
