New Cemetery to Resolve Longstanding Problems of Garrison City

RAWALPINDI: Rawalpindi Commissioner Liaquat Ali Chattha announced on Sunday that a new cemetery has been made functional on 1,000 Kanal of land in Rawalpindi.

He stated that it will resolve a longstanding problem in the district, adding that a ready-made grave will be available for Rs. 5,000 with a free-of-charge ambulance and hearse service.

He also stated that a graveyard for the Christian community has been established on 200 Kanal of land.

Additionally, the Hindu community will be provided with the facility of a crematorium after their exact population is determined in the census.
