PM Shehbaz Criticizes PTI Govt for Halt in Punjab’s Development

LAHORE: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif expressed his dissatisfaction over the PTI government’s interruption in Punjab’s development, which had been initiated by his government.

During a high-level meeting, PM Sharif stated that the previous government had deliberately put a stop to the previous uplift projects initiated by the PML-N government.

He further added that the people of the province were punished for their support of the Pakistan Muslim League-N.

The meeting was attended by Caretaker Chief Minister Punjab Syed Mohsin Naqvi, PM’s advisor Ahad Khan Cheema, and federal and provincial authorities.

The prime minister was given a detailed briefing on the construction work on the Imamia colony flyover project. He instructed the early completion of the project for public use.

PM Sharif criticized the previous government for the province’s affairs being handed over to an incompetent and puppet chief minister, which resulted in political maneuvering at the federal level rather than focusing on the progress of the province.

The meeting was also briefed about the proposed Lahore-Sialkot motorway link road, and the prime minister directed the chief minister to form a three-member committee to give a detailed briefing on the project in the next meeting.
