LAHORE: The Punjab Central Business District Development Authority (PCBDDA) has introduced an innovative concept called “Blue Road” in Lahore, Pakistan, aimed at modernizing the city’s infrastructure while improving the quality of life for its residents.
The spokesman claimed that Lahore has become the first city in Asia to adopt this innovative technology.
According to sources, the “Blue Roads” have been designed to offer a sustainable alternative to traditional asphalt roads.
The new technology incorporates heat observation and energy-conserving features that reduce pollution and promote a healthier environment.
Furthermore, the innovative roads utilize a specialized coating that reflects sunlight, reducing the amount of heat the road surface absorbs.
In addition, the reflective coating also improves visibility for drivers at night, improving road safety.
The construction work of this project is being monitored by Imran Amin, CEO of PCBDDA, to ensure the timeline given by the caretaker Chief Minister of Punjab, Mohsin Raza Naqvi.
Imran expressed his excitement about introducing the Blue Road concept in Pakistan, which has already been successfully implemented in several European and Middle Eastern countries like the Netherlands, France, and Qatar.
