PESHAWAR: The University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Peshawar recently organized a highly successful seminar to promote the Clean Campus Drive.
This event, a collaboration between the Directorate of Clubs and Societies at UET Peshawar and the Water and Sanitation Services Peshawar (WSSP), aimed to raise awareness about environmental conservation and scientific solid waste management.
The esteemed presence of Prof Dr. Sahar Noor, the Chief Guest and Dean of Mechanical, Chemical, and Industrial Engineering at UET Peshawar graced the seminar.
In his address, Prof Dr. Sahar Noor lauded the commendable services provided by WSSP. He highlighted the positive response from both WSSP and its dedicated team members since UET Peshawar became the first university in Peshawar to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Water and Sanitation Services Peshawar several years ago.
Emphasizing the importance of cooperation between UET Peshawar and WSSP, Prof Dr. Sahar Noor emphasized the need for joint research and development projects in critical areas such as “plastic and packaging,” solid waste management, and water resource management.
This seminar successfully achieved its goal of raising awareness among students and faculty members about the significance of environmental conservation and responsible waste management.
It aimed to inspire active participation and a collective commitment to fostering a clean and sustainable campus environment.
The collaboration between UET Peshawar and WSSP reflects a shared dedication to working together toward sustainable practices.
