LAHORE: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has taken a strong stance against illegal constructions and unauthorized commercial activities in LDA Avenue-1.
In a targeted operation conducted by LDA teams, several violations were identified and addressed.
During the operation, 7 workshops and marble factories that were established illegally were partially demolished.
Additionally, 10 offices and a private school building were sealed for their illegal commercial use of the land, while the encroachments by shops, offices, marble stores, builders, and dealers were also removed.
To ensure the success of the operation, a large police contingent and heavy machinery were deployed. The operation was led by the Director of Town Planning Zone V, Azhar Ali.
According to an LDA spokesperson, LDA’s proactive approach aims to prevent unauthorized constructions and misuse of land for commercial purposes.
