ISLAMABAD: In preparation for the launch of 4 new residential schemes, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) has been diligently working on the finalization of layout plans (LOPs) for four residential sectors.
According to sources, these sectors include D-13, E-13, F-13, and the housing scheme in Kuri, being developed based on the results of a comprehensive topographic survey.
Member Planning of the CDA, Waseem Hayat Bajwa, confirmed the ongoing efforts, stating, that the CDA is working to finalize LOPs of these sectors.
He further explained that although the LOPs for these sectors were previously prepared, they lacked the essential topographic surveys.
Regarding the Kuri housing scheme, Bajwa revealed that the CDA would hire a consultant to facilitate the finalization of the LOP within one month.
He added that these four sectors combined encompass more than 25,000 plots.
Speaking about the Kuri housing project, Bajwa mentioned that the CDA had acquired 20,000 kanal of land in Kuri, which had remained vacant for decades.
However, there was a dispute concerning 8,000 kanal of the land between locals and the CDA.
To overcome this hurdle, the civic agency intends to prepare the LOP for the remaining 12,000 kanal initially, excluding the disputed land.
CDA officials have expressed that the construction of the four residential sectors is contingent upon resolving land issues.
The total area of the project is 3,200 acres, with each sector covering 750 acres.
While the CDA has taken partial possession of the land for the Park Enclave development, a substantial portion remains under “adverse possession.”
The 3 sectors mentioned earlier (D-13, E-13, and F-13) were acquired by the CDA in 2008, with partial allotments made in D-13 and E-13.
Besides, the current chairman of the CDA has instructed the organization to resolve the pending issues that have hindered the development of these sectors.
While past announcements have failed to materialize, officials remain optimistic that the finalization of LOPs for all four sectors will pave the way for the start of construction.

It is good news as CDA intends to develop sectors.Chairman CDA also take interest to speedup pace of work of roads, please allocate quota Govt employees who has not taken plot from FGHA while serving in autonomous bodies, specially SPD orgs whom not adjusted in FG and nor DHA,thanks

Path /road to going the hiking trail 7 has been struck by construction of Margalla evenue near D-12 sector. The road to hiking trail 7 should be clear by construction U turn on Margalla Evenue near sector D-12. People feel difficulties.

CDA must speed up efforts as Ministries,Divisions,Autonomous Corporations Employees deposited huge amounts with that hope that they will own plot/house in Federal Capital, in FGEHA. But so far,no effort has been made to accommodate all those Employees…
Kindly make green belt between D12 and D13 as twice cleaning was done but no plantation work under taken. The west service road gives a look of Meharabadi.
CDA should’ve developed the sectors first such as E-12 & I-12 before moving to the next one’s….

The original land owners having adiquate land holdings by virtue of inherited by their forefathers are not yet connected nor considered even they had applied for allotment in lieu of their acquired land. On the other hand gangs of mafia are openly working under the umbrella of corrupt employees of the Authority. Furter series of multistory building are being constucted on the Authority’s acquired land which includes the graveyards espacially by thr Afghan refugees The chairman him self may look in to it as his senior colleagues are allegedly playing a vital role in all these corrupt practices

CDA should complete development of 34 years old Sector E-12
1). No work in E-12/2 & 3 since April 2023.
2). No work on Service Road North since May 2021 even by the third contractor.
3). No chances of giving possession of 1312 plots in E-12/2 & 3 in June 2023 as promised in public hearing. (Cont.)
4). Contractor stopped working in E-12/1 for lack of land delivery by CDA, after doing ground work in 9 smaller streets. All machines parked for deployment elsewhere.
5). No tenders for E-12/4 and Major/Service Roads as committed in public hearing.
Good step
First develop long over due sectors like E-12, I-11 and then think of new sectors
E-12 awaits development of the sector. CDA had failed to acquire, develop and give possession to allottees, since 35 years. I don’t understand what’s the purpose of launching new sectors while the can not progress on already sold land.
This seems like another trap to people who will have to wait another 40-50 years for CDA to develop them for allottees.
First develop long outstanding sectors. OVS PKNIS is frustratingly by promises and not developing E-12.

I have been writing for the development of above mentioned sectors, specifically, D13 and E13 those were acquired by CDA in 2008 for quite a long time. Now by reading this news that CDA is initiating development of these sectors brought a great satisfaction and hope that this young and enthusiastic Chairman CDA will go for the best possible endeavour in this connection. I will again say, “Well done Mr. Chairman”. May almighty Allah bless you good health, courage and long life, aameen.

What about E12 Sector which s pending since last 28 years?????
CDA must also oversee other non development sectors like F-16 neglected for a decade. Jammu Kashmir Housing Society is made responsible for its development, but they fail to acquire land in its F-16/2 sector despite allotting plot numbers to the buyers.
