CDA Greenlights Medical College Establishment in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: In a recent special meeting, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) approved the establishment of the CDA Capital Medical College in Islamabad.

The planning wing and estate office has been directed to identify suitable land for the college.

During the meeting, another significant decision was made to allocate land in the Kahuta Triangle Industrial Area for the construction of a fire station and a dispensary.

It was revealed that the local chamber of commerce and industrial association would bear the expenses for these facilities, which will be built on CDA land.

Furthermore, the meeting highlighted the need to install filtration plants at various commercial centers.

The CDA will be responsible for the construction of these plants, while the business community will take charge of their maintenance.

Additionally, the meeting gave its approval for the acquisition of land to establish the Federal Board of Revenue Academy.

To effectively address matters related to residential and commercial buildings in the Rawalpindi and Islamabad regions, the CDA board decided to form a committee.

Besides, the committee will comprise representatives from the Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA), CDA, and the cantonment boards.
