RAWALPINDI: Sajid Zafar Dall, the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development in Punjab, conducted a thorough assessment of the Monsoon preparations carried out by the Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) on Monday.
During his visit, Secretary Dall personally inspected the cleaning progress of Nullah Lai at Gwalmandi Bridge.
Given the recent forecast by the Meteorological Department, Dall emphasized the importance of vigilance and preparedness among all relevant departments.
He lauded the extensive preparations made by WASA Rawalpindi for the upcoming Monsoon season, including the timely cleaning of major drains, sewage lines, and Nulla Lai in the city.
Addressing the Managing Director (MD) of WASA, Secretary Dall stressed the significance of the next two months, urging continuous alertness and close coordination with the Meteorological Department.
Furthermore, Secretary Dall also highlighted the need for comprehensive precautionary measures, especially in low-lying areas, and directed the deployment of machinery and staff to ensure swift relief and rescue operations in case of urban flooding.
