ISLAMABAD: The civic agency in Islamabad has compiled and updated essential data about various housing societies in the federal capital.
This move aims to provide crucial information to potential buyers interested in purchasing plots or homes in the area.
As per the details, the updated information regarding housing societies will be made available on the official website of the civic agency during this week.
The agency follows a two-tier approval process for private housing schemes. Firstly, the scheme’s technical approval of the Layout Plan (LOP) is granted.
Subsequently, No Objection Certificates (NOC) for the development of the scheme are issued upon the completion of all required formalities.
Once the sponsors obtain the NOC, they are authorized to commence the development work and begin the sale of plots.
It is important to note that Zone-4 in Islamabad permits agro-farming and residential housing schemes, following the provisions of the ICT (Zoning) Regulation, 1992 (amended in 2010).
The CDA (Capital Development Authority) grants the necessary permissions after fulfilling all legal requirements.
The civic agency strongly emphasizes that any marketing or advertisement of housing projects without the proper NOC from the CDA is deemed illegal and unauthorized.
Besides, advertisers and marketing agencies have been prohibited from engaging in such practices to curb misleading advertising and marketing of illegal housing schemes.
The sponsors of housing schemes have also been directed to refrain from marketing and developing projects without obtaining the required NOC from CDA.
Concerns have been raised by various sections of society about the prevalence of illegal housing societies, posing significant risks for individuals looking to invest in real estate in Islamabad.
