PMU Team Provides Insight on KP Cities Improvement Project

PESHAWAR: A joint delegation comprising representatives from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) highlighted the importance of maintaining high-quality standards and ensuring timely project completion for the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Cities Improvement Project (KPCIP).

The delegation, led by Senior Project Officer Umar Ali Shah and AIIB representative Ghufran Syed, held a comprehensive progress review meeting, focusing on the Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) project, on Monday.

During the meeting, each City Implementation Unit (CIU) provided a thorough update on the status of ongoing, proposed, and recommended projects.

Additionally, the Project Management Unit (PMU) team, under the guidance of the project director, presented detailed insights into the technical, financial, administrative, and operational aspects of the projects.

As per the details, the projects are being executed in five division cities of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, namely Peshawar, Mardan, Mingora, Kohat, and Abbottabad.

Furthermore, the delegation was also briefed by consultants on the progress of each project.

Following the discussions, the senior project officer emphasized that there should be no compromises in terms of the quality of work.
