LAHORE: The Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) announced the construction of houses in flooded villages and the establishment of clean water plants in flood-affected areas of South Punjab.
As per details, the announcement came during an FPCCI delegation led by FPCCI President Irfan Iqbal Sheikh’s visit to flood-affected areas of Southern Punjab.
The delegation met with flood victims and visited union councils of Tehsil Taunsa Sharif in District Dera Ghazi Khan.
The Regional Chairman of FPCCI Muhammad Nadeem Qureshi stated on the occasion that more than 3 million children were suffering from water-borne diseases, sinking, and malnutrition risks as a result of the floods in recent and require immediate humanitarian assistance.
He stated that, given the current situation, assisting flood victims was their top priority. The delegation also distributed money and food to flood victims, said the sources.
