ISLAMABAD: IHC has asked the Capital Development Authority to provide a list of illegal housing societies in the Capital territory.
Chief Justice Islamabad High Court, Athar Minallah, sough the CDA to submit a list of Illegal housing societies within a day.
In response to this, Attorney General, Munawar Iqbal Dogal, said that there are no such legal restrictions in launching a housing scheme under the name of government institutions.
He added that there is nothing wrong in using the ministry’s or department’s names as per the laws of cooperative housing societies.
Furthermore, the court has sought a list of the illegal housing societies from the CDA and adjourned further hearing.
