Kharian-Rawalpindi Motorway: Land Revenue Department Completes Land Price Assessment

GUJRAT: Punjab Land Revenue Department has completed the price assessment for land acquisition for the Kharian-Rawalpindi Motorway project.

The assessment was conducted by the District price assessment committee which was led by Deputy Commissioner Gujrat, Amer Shahzad Kang, Additional Deputy Commissioner Revenue, Aurangzaib Sidhu, and the assistant commissioners from three tehsils.

According to the details, the land will be acquired from 3 cities for the 11km motorway.

  • 18,526 kanals and 10 marlas of land for the Gujrat district highway project
  • 6,488 kanals and five marlas in Gujrat tehsil
  • 9,074 kanals and five marlas in Kharian
  • 3,000 kanals in Sara-i-Alamgir tehsil

Additionally, the Kharian-Rawalpindi Motorway will be connecting Jhelum, Mangla, Dina, Sohawa, Gujar Khan, and Mandra, and will end near T-Chowk Rawat.

It is important to note that the project will be developed under a Public Private Partnership and will be managed on Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) Basis.
